Policy Coverage

Costs that are not covered by your policy:

  • There is no cover for claims directly arising from you not following advice issued by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to avoid all travel or avoid all but essential travel if the subject of the advice or warning is related to the nature of your claim.
  • There is no cover for claims arising as a result of war, or hostilities, civil unrest or any similar event.

Jet Fuel Shortage

We advise customers affected by fuel shortages to contact their airline or tour operator in the first instance, as they are best placed to assist with any travel disruptions. Under the standard terms and conditions, your Multitrip.com travel insurance policy does not cover claims arising from fuel shortages or surcharges due to fuel supply issues. We appreciate that each customer’s situation may be unique. If a customer feels their experience warrants review, they are welcome to submit a claim. All claims are considered individually, in line with the policy’s terms and conditions.

Free Extension of Insurance

If the relevant time of your current trip pre-dates this travel advice and your travel is disrupted due to this event, impacting your ability to return home on your policy end date, your policy will freely extend until you are physically able to return home as soon as it becomes possible.

Emergency Assistance

If your trip involves travel to a country or part of a country the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office has issued advice or warning to avoid all travel or avoid all but essential travel, we may not be able to provide you with emergency assistance in that country.
