Types of Insurance

Single trip policies:

• Cover for a one-off trip starting and ending in the Republic of Ireland.

Multitrip policies:

• Cover for as many trips as you take over a 1 or 2 year period. There is a restriction on the number of days you can take in any one trip, which will be detailed in step 2.

Backpacker policies:

• Cover for persons up to 49 years of age for an extended trip up to a maximum of 12 months.

Start Date

Your cover should start today unless:

• you have an existing policy that covers you until the cover start date you choose.
• you have yet to book a holiday and will only do so on or after the cover start date you choose.

Your cover including cancellation protection ONLY begins from the cover start date you choose. If you choose to start cover today, then your cover begins the moment we confirm your online application back to you.

Cover Types

Individual Cover : This option is for a single Individual policy for those who do not qualify for the couple or family rate option.

Couple Cover : A Couple, including same-sex, in a common law relationship or who have been co-habiting for at least 6 months.

Family Cover : Two adults and any number of their children, step children or foster children aged under 19, accompanying the parents or legal guardian insured on the same policy travelling on any trip to the same destination.

66-69 Years : Maximum Duration 31 days any one trip.

70-75 Years : Maximum Duration 21 days any one trip.

Maximum Durations Single Trip Policy

0-69 Years : 12 Months (Essential Premier or Premier Plus Cover).

70-79 Years : Max Duration 35 days any one trip.

Maximum Durations Backpacker Policy

49 Years : Max Duration 365 days any one trip.
